Elected officials and democratic institutions’ activities monitoring
Elected officials and democratic institutions’ activities monitoring in the period between elections is one of the CVU most important objectives.
Election monitoring
CVU was founded in 1994 as an election monitoring organization. Despite the fact that at present CVU has many other activities directions, comprehensive election monitoring remains one of the organization’s priorities.
Active citizen
Community Development
Our approach is based on a community development model that comprises mutually enhancing components: increasing and enabling participation of citizens, development of local NGOs and other stakeholders including local authorities, businesses and the media.
CVU public reception offices
A number of Committee of voters’ local offices function as public reception offices, providing citizens with free consultations, first of all, about matters concerned with relations with authorities and local self government bodies.

CVU places high emphasis on voters’ mobilization and also voters’ education regarding electoral legislation matters during election campaigns of all levels.
Other activity
Assistance to international observers’ activities in Ukraine
At the time of election campaigns in Ukraine Committee of voters invites partner organizations’ representatives from other countries as international observers, providing assistance to their activities up to full organizational support.
Committee of young voters of Ukraine
Committee of young voters of Ukraine was founded in 1998 with an aim to stir up work with youth.
Election legislation reform
As soon as many election process shortcomings are caused by legislation drawbacks, election legislation reform is one of CVU important activities direction. CVU insists on passing an Election code and also creating Voters’ register.
Election observation abroad
CVU pays much attention to election observation abroad, sending international observers. In 2001 CVU became one of the founding organizations of ENEMO – European network of election monitoring organization, which now comprises 19 organizations.
Training of election commissions’ members and observers
Starting from 1998 CVU realizes such projects as training of election commissions members’ parties/candidates’ observers. CVU has more then 100 qualified trainers who can train election commissions’ members or observers in all regions of Ukaine
