SUMMARY RESULTS CVU OBSERVATION OVER ELECTION CAMPAIGN OF MAY 25 LOCAL ELECTIONS
During May there were some changes in composition of the TECs, which will provide preparation to holding early local elections; however in general TEC's composition wasn't changed significantly.  Most TECs work normally. The CVU has recorded no such problems as lack of quorum at commission meetings, non-admission of official observers and other persons entitled to attend TEC meetings without permission and invitation.

Early local elections on May 25, 2014 will be conducted on the basis of substantially amended Law "On Elections of Deputies of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, local councils and village, town and city mayors". In general the Law creates the  proper conditions for conduct of elections according to international standards and reduces risks of fraud in the organisation and conduct of elections. After the early local elections the Parliament should consider the reasonability of holding elections of mayors in big cities by the majoritarian system of absolute majority.

On December 15th 2013 repeated parliamentary elections were held in five single-mandate constituencies of Ukraine. Committee of voters of Ukraine conducted long term observation of the election process in all 5 election districts. On the E-Day 400 CVU observers worked at polling stations.
